Blakk Rasta banned from Music Awards - how to redeem himself
Apr 10 2009, 9:44 PM EDT
Reggae artiste Black Rasta has been disqualified from this year’s Ghana Music Awards for insulting behavior. See full story on http://edition.ghanamusic.com/news/top-stories/400-blakk-rasta-disqualified-from-2009-ghana-music-awards The decision was taken at a meeting held by members of the Planning Committee in response to recent verbal attacks by the artiste on the personalities of the Committee. Blakk Rasta has been banned because he is a bad tempered, selfish performer who vents his temper in public on his radio station program. He was furious that his song 'Barrak Obama' was not listed for 'most popular song'. Does Blakk Rasta have any idea that president Obama has been a champion of gay rights in the US, supporting gays in the military and civil unions? He won the Presidency due to a huge supportbase from the young, liberals, gays, blacks and hispanics. Blakk Rasta's hateful comments about gays have almost certainly been noted by the President's advisors and it is quite obvious that President Obama would not want any endorsement in a song from the foul mouth and deranged mind of such an extremist. Obama has recently boosted troops to Afganistan to root out the Taliban. What do the Taliban and Blaak Rasta have in common? They share the same hateful, violent, extremest messages against gays and promote illicit drugs. The best way forward for Blakk Rasta would be to spend some time in a de-tox clinic and then to meet up with some of Barrak Obama's Amerian support base to understand the core values that make him the best best president in American history. Do you find this valuable?
