An option to group letter is individual emails
Apr 10 2009, 9:11 PM EDT | Post edited: Apr 10 2009, 9:11 PM EDT
Does the radio station have an email address? If so, why not bombard them with emails of protest?
Also, would it be a good idea to email the justice minister, attorney general, human rights commission and commercial radio regulatory body?
A machine gun approach to protest could bring this hate rasta down and off the air.

Interesting suggestion. This initiative halted some two months ago now. I wanted ghanaians to contribute a bit to this initiative. So far it has been written by expat members. The Ghanaians did not even try to assist by doing one of the todos regarding fact-checks and gathering information about sponsors on the station. So untill some Ghanaians start taking matters a bit in their own hands, I think we should let it rest a while. Can lead the horse to the water but cant make it drink. But if you know some active Ghanaians who could pick this up, I would be delighted. I personally certainly feel very offended when I am in Accra and listen to the station. I just hope some Ghanaians will feel the same and start cooperating. If they are not bothered about it, why rock the boat? Sorry, am a bit frustrated by the passivenes and inertia of the gay community in Ghana. 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I'm in total agreement with Andy on this one. I just don't things are that bad in Ghana as no one is really bothered.

Sometimes they talk about 'homophobia' and 'gay rights', probably because we westerners have made them think that's what they are supposed to do, then they just get on with their lives.

Ghanaians also seem to be fatalists - they don't believe anything will change.

When people were getting killed in the UK just because they were gay we got mad and took action. Nothing as extreme as this seems to happening in Ghana so people are 'managing'.
