Thanks for those thoughts, Andy. The comments about the Bible are so apt. The Bible isn't totally irrelevant, and still remains a sort of ''handbook' for living a reasonable life. Dietary laws? Well, they didn't have refridgerators in those days, did they! Wrong for men to lie with men? Why no word about woman lying with woman? Maybe continuation of the species was paramount, so that the same species could be killed in battle. (Politicians need someone to do their dirty work!)
Fear is the factor that we have to fight, or we will never have true equality. In the UK, homosexuality became legal in 1968. Hurrah!!! That was only the beginning, because the next step had to be the hearts and minds of the so-called 'normals'. Many years have passed since 1968, and we still have significant pockets of ignorance. The Pink Pound has spawned whole industries to cater for the gay population, with its attendant rip-offs and 'money-spinners'. In the 'sohisticated' west, we have those who insist on a sort of separatism for gays, with our own morals and standards, and if you don't fit the new gay order, well tough sh*t! There are jobs which, if you are not on the gay network, you don't get in! It seems that the 'new order' has decreed that gays shall be separate. In my ignorance, I thought that the famous campaigners had fought for equality! Maybe I am wrong. I am asking my Ghanaian friends to look, carefully, at what has happened in the West, and try not to make the same mistakes that we have. It is certainly better in the West, but don't imagine that it's perfect! Recent events show that corruption isn't exclusive to Africa! |

ThankX Andy,
i really feel kind of sad because people are getting it all wrong, their minds have been currupted to the extend that they dont even know anything else. the same chapter in the bible which says men should not lay with their fellow men also talk about shellfish but i bet that wont stop the pope putting shellfish all over his face. I hate it all.......i theologian from germany who is staying here told me the Bible was made for the egnorants who dont listern to anything,so that there will be a law govering the people....that was 2000years ago. there are alot of things i can say here and am not afraid to say that at all. Many men try to pretend that they sleeping with your fellow men is abnormal, but i bet 70percent of men in Boys school suck and romance their fellow men, which i know its true. I dont think i want to be a Gay right activist but i will speak my mind...FREEDOM OF SPEECH,and if Ghanaians are wise to listern they will know how they are hurting their fellow human beings by not allow their rights to sexuality. am here and am going to be here for a long time, and am going to spit everything out, including that minister whom i had sex with in his secret apartment. MOST GHANAIANS ARE CURRUPTED INSIDE OUT!! . |

nice description of African MSM behaviour. I saved it in Delicious. You have great potential to become a fore runner of gay rights in Ghana. Keep up the good work
