When I first started reading the blogs of fake Gays, I thought, here is a chance for the victims to expose the perpetrators. Oh, wait, in every case of a so-called fake exposed, the victim just happens to be an obroni while the alleged perpetrator is always a Ghanaian. Where are the Ghanaian victims? I know some.
Then imagine my shock when I came accross the name of my ex and his son on the fake list. Here is a man who I have known for almost 20 years, invited to Australia, helped him into business and build a house in Ghana. Both men are popular guys - they behave no better or worse than your average citizen.
So I decided to email Mike Agomavi about the blog denouncing him and asked him for his account. Why?
Well in the first place there is a basic principle of natural justice - the right to be heard. It is a basic right that I suspect has not been extended to ANY of those who have been publicly denounced. That's a flaw that should be fixed. Secondly, I wanted to find out what really happened. I know from listening to gay domestic disputes over the years that there are ALWAYS two sides to a story.
Here is what Mike wrote to me: 'my son koku told me that he is having a certain white man who is coming [to Ghana] so i should escort him to the airport to welcome him. When we were at the airport , the BNI people arrested us and took us to the BNI office to intorogate us and put us into a cell and later took us to court. They find out that we are innocent and we were set free.
Infact they really tarnish our image [from the publicity about the arrest] and if i had known that whiteman personally i would have sue him in court but it is rather unfortunate i don't know him and of course i don't have money to persue the case. Infact the story reported was not accurate. You know that i am not like that.' The two accounts do not add up. Surprised?

" (on the funny side, ikaruga, think of better say 'you are not my kind of man' better than 'you are too old'... i am not particularly into youngsters, but i never use the words 'you are this or that' in a negative context, better avoid people to feel bad or despised :-)
and yes, the subject in ikaruga's pont 2 has been touched before, indirectly: see the thread 'Gay ghanaians and gay foreigners how do they see each other...'
afoo... medase...
" thanks errebe in retrospect i will admit that i did not exercise appropriate tact in phrasing my comments
