Unfortunately the so called "gay footballteam of Christian Village Achimota" is in an area which is too dangerous for Gay men to venture. It is strongly advised not to go there anymore. I just hope somewhere else some genuinly gay men can come together to form a new team, . If we could organize ourselves to become a real team, we should be able to get recognized as the official Ghanaian team for the Gay Olympics that are going to be held in Cologne Germany in 2010.

This page has not been updated since beginning of 2010; can someone who is interested in sports please try to update this page? What are the new events coming up; how can one participate etc.......! Also practitioners of other sports can try to organize themselves by using this wiki. Sponsorships are available for teams and sportsmen/women from developing countries.

Other African nations, like e.g. Namibia have sent delegations to the Gay Olympics in Australia with sponsor funds.

If you know of other gay groups involved in sports activities, please either advertise it on this wiki or at least let Andy know so he can link you up with other sporters.




You can use this wiki site as a tool to organize people. You could e.g. make a list on a separate new page to make a list of players so people can join the team or at least express their interest.
