The Gay and Lesbian Association of Ghana, GALAG, has appeared several times in the news by the words of its President Mr. Prince Kweku McDonnald (alias McDarling?), as representing the gay and lesbian people in Ghana. He was quoted in interviews in 2006 and he suddenly reappeared in a radio show on Joy FM and another interview in the printed and online press just recently.

In this stage, where the LGBT struggle is just emerging and it is imperative that we need to unite behind our cause, we again reach out to GALAG to join forces. This page is available for GALAG to represent itself here; to write about its cause and activities and even to sollicit membership.

This wiki has already over 125 registered members and has had more than 7000 visits during the past half year.
The site has moved up to the 4th and 5th place on the first page of Google search for the terms "gay" and "ghana" and for several related terms (with 30+ of our pages mentioned). This puts it in a perfect position to be the hub for LGBT activities in Ghana.

As it is a wiki, it is open to the public and therefore a very democratic and interactive medium to organise a community. Although the moderators (presently 2 obronis and 2 Ghanaians) are checking the content to guard for bad language, porn or gaybashing, it is the members who determine the issues and what is written about it.
With 30 pages of elaborate and regularly updated information, links and news, this is the most comprehensive source of information about homosexuality in Ghana.
